March 8th is a pivotal date for #WomenEd as it is International Women’S Day. #IWD18
Each year there is a global theme. Last year #BeBoldForChange resonated with out grassroots gender equality community as it spoke to our #10%braver mantra.
This year’s theme is #PressForProgress which will inspire our blogs throughout March, contact Keziah if you would like to contribute.
This month it is also is the centenary of women getting the vote so this month’s theme for the #WomenEd blog is #StillMarching, see my contribution here.
Check out all of the regional events we have planned to celebrate women throughout March. Up for a #10%braver challenge?

Hannah, The Hopeful Headteacher
Currently feeling hopeful about:
- The passion of our community to affect systemic, societal and structural change.
Currently reading and thinking about:
- I have lots of writing to do this month so am thinking about that!
Currently feeling grateful for:
- Being invited to contribute to the Oxfordshire Headteachers conference – we delivered 2 workshops yesterday and presented in the regional best practice session today to raise awareness of the DFE’s coaching pledge, WLIE networks and Diversity Grants.
